Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, was present at the event, marking the second consecutive year of this strategic collaboration with University of Miami Athletics. This partnership encompasses game sponsorships, Bahamian-themed promotions, and engaging on-site activations across UM’s football and basketball programs. Attendees at this year’s fan zone enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with giveaways, interactive games, delightful swimming pig-themed popsicles, and a lively Junkanoo rush out.
In an exciting highlight, one fortunate ‘Canes fan triumphed in the pineapple-eating contest, earning a trip to the exclusive ‘Canes Weekend at Atlantis, Paradise Island Resort from November 8 to November 11. DPM Cooper presented this lucky winner with the grand prize during a special ceremony on the field.
The highly anticipated ‘Canes Weekend at Atlantis promises to infuse the essence of the University of Miami into the breathtaking backdrop of The Bahamas, offering the ‘Canes family an unforgettable getaway at the magnificent resort. The weekend will feature esteemed UM alumni football legends hosting a variety of thrilling events and activities.
