On October 25th, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board celebrated the inauguration of its new office in Moscow, marked by a ceremony featuring prominent figures from both the Azerbaijani and Russian tourism industries, along with influential government representatives and business partners.

The event highlighted the crucial role of tourism in enhancing bilateral relations and opened discussions on future collaborations. Participants also discussed further strategies to enrich tourism connections between Russia and Azerbaijan.

Presently, Azerbaijan Airlines along with Russian airlines maintain robust air links to several Azerbaijani cities, ensuring constant air travel between the nations. From January to September 2024, Azerbaijan recorded a 18% increase from the previous year in Russian tourist arrivals, totaling 564,008 visitors. Factors such as visa-free access, frequent flights, and a positive tourism trajectory suggest that the number of visitors will continue to rise.
