WATCH: Trump Hints At First Words For Historic Butler, PA Rally

Former President Donald Trump has previously hinted at how he plans on beginning his speech when he returns to Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 5.

Trump will be returning to the Western Pennsylvania community just over two months after he was nearly killed by a would-be-assassin.

Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, opened fire from a nearby rooftop that was left unguarded. Two Trump supporters Jim Copenhaver and David Dutch were left critically wounded as a result of the attack. The former president was also struck in the ear after he turned his head at the last minute, narrowly avoiding a bullet that would have almost certainly killed him.

Retired firefighter Corey Comperatore was tragically killed in the attack when he dove on top of his family in order to shield them from gunfire. Comperatore who was honored by the former president in his RNC speech is once again being honored on Saturday.

A seat was reserved for Comperatore, whose fire gear was displayed in the bleachers where he was killed. Additional tributes have been observed around the rally grounds.

Trump had long vowed to return to Butler before Saturday's event was finalized.

"By the way, we're going back to Butler and we're going to go back in October.

On a more light-hearted note, the former president also hinted at his return speech in the Musk interview.  "We're going back to Butler and I think I'll probably start by saying, 'as I was saying.'"

The former president is set to take the stage at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
