WATCH: Melania Trump Slams Dems As 'Threats To Democracy' In Passionate 'The Five' Appearance

Former First Lady Melania Trump thoroughly rejected attacks on her husband that label him as a "threat to Democracy" in a passionate appearance on Fox News' "The Five."

While Melania generally stays out of the realm of political campaigning and media appearances, she is currently in the middle of a media tour to promote her highly-anticipated memoir. On Tuesday, she joined "The Five" hosts Greg Gutfeld, Jesse Watters, Jeanine Piro, Dana Perino and Harold Ford Jr. to discuss the book, the state of the election race and much more.

"I think it's a lot of misinformation out there about me. So that's why I said I think it's the time that people hear from me and my story, my perspective and the truth," the former First Lady said when asked why she decided to write the book.

Judge Jeanine Piro noted that left-wing rhetoric commonly refers to former President Trump as a "threat to Democracy," leading to a hyper-polarized political climate and radicalized base.

"The former president has survived two assassination attempts and Kamala's camp has just issued yesterday that they're going to go more negative. The Biden-Harris team continues with the negative rhetoric, you know, whether it's Hitler or, you know, you know, he's tearing down democracy. Are you worried about your husband's safety in the next 29 days?" Piro asked.

Without hesitation, Melania stated that she is indeed worried about the safety of her husband and family as a whole after two nearly successful attempts on the former president's life in less than 100 days.

"Yes, I do. I think, you know, when they call him, he's a threat to democracy. Let's ask ourselves, who is really a threat to democracy? They are ongoing with the lawfare against the former president, as well as, you know, trying to get him off the voting ballot," the former First Lady replied. "And trying to silence him. So, yes of course I was always afraid of what can happe,  and that they are continuing with that kind of language, it's just a toxic atmosphere."

If former President Trump returns to the White House in January, Melania intends to direct her efforts towards helping foster children and other children in need. "I will bring my experiences back, what I learned in the four years. And as well, I will continue my Be Best initiative for children, for women. And also, I will continue with Fostering the Future initiative that I established after I left the White House in 2021," she said.

On Sunday Melania revealed that an unnamed university rejected her donation towards a foster care program simply because of her last name.

that they will accept my donations for the foster students

"And it's very, very sad because who suffered?
