Eagles release Pro Bowl quarterback Andy Dalton after just one disastrous pass in loss
Andy Dalton threw just one pass for the Philadelphia Eagles before his release, with Tanner McKee now taking over as the backup quarterback.
The three-time Pro Bowler took the shotgun snap but threw an interception when rookie safety Dillon Thieneman jumped the pass. On Friday, before the team departed for London, the Eagles released Dalton.
Dalton had started games for every team he played for except the Eagles.
Dalton has played in 180 games, starting 169 of them, and has compiled an 84-83-2 record. He has completed 62.6% of his passes for 39,793 yards, 254 touchdowns and 152 interceptions.
