Perth practice Carabiner joins Architectus

Architectus has announced the acquisition of Perth-based practice Carabiner, a 21-person firm whose portfolio includes projects in sport, education and health.

A media release from the two firms notes, "Carabiner brings more than 30 years of local experience delivering public architecture ranging from community recreation facilities and high-performance sport centres to innovative learning environments and major health projects."

"The integration extends Architectus's national reach and its specialist capability across three key sectors experiencing strong demand for community-focused design," it reads.

Carabiner's team will join the Architectus Perth studio in the new year, with Karotkin joining the Architectus principal cohort and Carabiner CEO Steve McDonald becoming national commercial manager.
